Ronis urges Uzbekistan to use Latvian ports for transit of Uzbek cargo
Upon returning from the visit, Ronis stressed, "The current cooperation with Uzbekistan is constructive and pragmatic: both countries have developed close cooperation to ensure NATO freight transport for the allies' needs in Afghanistan. It is important for the cooperation to continue, because transport of various freights to and from Afghanistan will have to be provided in the future as well", writes LETA.
During the visit, Ronis had meetings with Uzbek parliament representatives, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Komilov, Foreign Economic Affairs, Investments and Trade Minister Elyor Ganiyev, and Uzbekistan Railways head Achilbay Ramatov.
