After operating licence of Lithuanian carrier flyLAL was cancelled, Estonian Air might take the airline's place on the Lithuanian aviation market, LETA quoted Äripäev.
Lithuanian Transportation Minister Eligijus Masiulis had a meeting with representatives of Estonian Air's holding company SAS on Wednesday to discuss possible ways to restore a connection from Vilnius Airport to Europe.
Although the minister did not reach official agreement with SAS representatives, one option is that Estonian Air will take the place of the bankrupt flyLAL.
Ilona Eskelinen, the Spokesperson of Estonian Air, did not confirm such possibility, but said that the company eyes Lithuanian market.
