In a move to avert provocation and public disturbances on March 16 – WWII Latvian Legion Day, the Riga City Executive has banned all assemblies registered on that day, informs LETA.

This following warnings from municipal and security police forces on a threat to public order.

Six pro and anti-Legion Day events will be disallowed as a result.
