Legion Day procession under way in Riga

About 1,000 persons marking WWII Latvian Legion are proceeding to the Freedom Monument from Old Town Riga.
At the scene, about 100 "anti-fascist" protesters were taking part in the demonstration.
At 11.45 a.m. the procession of persons marking the unofficial WWII Latvian Legion Remembrance Day reached the Freedom Monument.
There are no serious incidents reported.
The procession was met by "anti-fascist" protesters with placards and disdainful chants.
The participants of the procession moved through a long alley of maroon-white-maroon flags to lay flowers at the monument.
Large numbers of police officers are at the monument and its surrounding areas. Interior Minister Linda Murniece (Unity) is also there.
No arrests have been made.
