Rimi Lithuania sees its revenue rise 6.9% in H1

Rimi Lietuva, the owner of one of Lithuania's largest retail chains, posted 172.9 mln euros, excluding VAT, in revenue in the first half of this year, up 6.9 % from the same period last year, informed LETA/BNS.
The Rimi Baltic group, which owns Rimi Lietuva,
saw its turnover grow 2.6% to 757.6 mln euros during the period, its Swedish
owner ICA Gruppen said in its financial report.
Rimi Baltic's revenue in Latvia rose 2.7% to 398.5 mln
euros, and it dropped 1.4% to 186.3 mln euros in Estonia.
In the second quarter, y-o-y, Rimi Baltic's sales in
Lithuania grew 3.5% to 86.3 mln euros. Its turnover grew 0.9% to 200.4 mln
euros, and sales went down by 7.9% to 90.2 mln euros in Estonia. The group's
total turnover was off 0.8% to 376.9 mln euros.
Rimi Baltic operated 277 stores in the first half f this
year, unchanged from last year. They included 131 stores in Latvia (130 last
year), 84 (86) in Estonia and 62 (61) in Lithuania.
