Estonia: Avg price of Tallinn apartments up 8.5% on year in August

Compared with July, the average price per square meter rose
5.7%, figures available from the Land Board show.
The median price per square meter of apartments in the
capital city rose 9.6% to 2,051.33 euros, while month-over-month an increase of
7.9% was registered.
Altogether 559 transactions worth 67.8 mln euros were
carried out in Tallinn in August, compared with 669 transactions worth 76.7 mln
euros in July. In August 2019, 780 transactions worth 84 mln euros were
conducted.3
Across Estonia, excluding Tallinn, the average price per
square meter of apartments rose 5.5% on year to 918.34 euros in August.
Compared with July, an increase of 1.3% was registered.
The median price per square meter for apartments outside
Tallinn was 713.9 euros, 2.8% higher than the year before. Compared with July,
the median price decreased 7.8%.
The number of transactions outside Tallinn was 988 and the
total value of the transactions was 54.8 mln euros in August, compared with
respectively 1,118 transactions and 59.4 mln euros the month before. In August
2019, the number of transactions outside Tallinn was 1,313 and the total value
of the transactions amounted to 66.6 mln euros.
Figures available from the Estonian Land Board may change
when data is adjusted.
