Estonian Skype Technologies posts 14% drop in financial year revenue

Print versionSkype Technologies OU finished the financial year ending June 2015 with a revenue of 37.8 million euros, marking a reduction of 14% from the previous financial year, informs LETA/BNS.

While in 2014 the Estonian company of the software developer Skype Group belonging to Microsoft made a profit of 3.8 million euros, in 2015 the company produced loss worth 2 million euros, it can be seen from the company's annual report.
All of Skype's revenue came from the sale of IT and computer-related services to the United States.
The company employed on the average 358 people, 57 fewer than in the preceding financial year. Wage costs decreased from 18.5 million euros to 17.2 million euros.
During the financial year the company paid out 20.6 million euros in dividend.
