According to the report, Estonia ranks ninth in terms of ecological footprint per capita, United Arab Emirates is the country with the biggest ecological footprint, writes LETA.

Ahead of Estonia are also the United States, Kuwait, Denmark, Australia, New Zealan, Canada and Norway.

Estonia’s ecological footprint has been among the biggest in the world during previous years as well. this is due to the use of oil shale in producing electricity.
