EPSI Rating is an international analysis methodology that measures different companies’ and organisations’ non-financial KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators). Benchmark research is carried out in more than 30 different industries. The syndicated research was started in Sweden in 1989 and 1999 the research was broadened by initiative of the EU-commission to cover several European countries. The indices in this survey are comparable to similar studies in the U.S. and Asia.
The Baltic survey is part of the international EPSI Rating Research Programme. This research is coordinated by EPSI Research Center, which does close cooperation with Stockholm School of Economics in its academic development work.
Since 2005 EPSI Rating is surveying consumer sentiment for the next 12 months, both regarding the personal and the national economic situation. This is done in order to estimate where the both the consumption and the economy of the country as a whole are headed.
The indices are on the 0-100 scale – the higher the score, the more optimistic the consumers are about the future.
