Construction input prices in Lithuania increased by 3.5% in March y-o-y
As for building materials and products, the largest price rise over the month was observed for concrete and ferroconcrete – 0.9, pipes – 0.8, and electrical engineering materials – 0.6%, while prices for wood products decreased by 1.1, finishing materials – 0.4%.
As for buildings and structures, the largest price rise was observed for the construction of utility infrastructure (except for wastewater pipelines) – 0.4%. Prices for the construction of residential buildings decreased by 0.2%.
Over the year (March 2014, against March 2013), construction input prices increased by 3.5%. It was conditioned by a 9.8% increase in wages and salaries and a 1.4% increase in prices for building materials and products.
As for building materials and products, the largest price rise over the year was observed for concrete and ferroconcrete products – 4.1, various types of concrete and mortar – 3.5, general building materials – 3.2, wood products – 2.9%, while prices for pipes decreased by 1.1, windows and doors – 0.3%.
As for buildings and structures, the largest price rise was observed for the construction of residential buildings – 4.4%. A 4.8% price rise was observed for the renovation of buildings.
