For the 17th time since 1995, the government's highest honor for five outstanding public figures – the Cabinet of Ministers' Award, will be presented, and this year's recipients were announced today.

All seasoned professionals in their respective fields, the winners are poet and literary critic Knuts Skujenieks, poetess and prose writer Anda Lice, film director Rolands Kalnins, skeleton coach Dainis Dukurs and physicist Linards Skuja, informs LETA.

At a ceremony on November 18th, they will receive a LVL 5,000 cash prize, a badge and a diploma.
