EU to buy additional 100 mln doses of coronavirus vaccine

The European Union will buy an additional 100 million doses of the BioNTech and Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, cites LETA/STT.

The EU will therefore have 300 million doses of the vaccine. According to von der Leyen, the vaccine was assessed as safe and effective. 


Vaccination against the coronavirus began on Sunday across the European Union.
