The 2014 edition of the Ice Sculpture Festival in Jelgava has handed out prizes to the best, as rated by two entities – the artists themselves and a special jury. 30 artists from eight countries were in competition, and the jury lauded the extraordinary minute detail in the works, despite the unfavorable weather conditions, informs LETA.

Taking First Place was the Lithuanian artist Donatas Mockus for the sculpture titled "The Little Shepherd". Second Place was awarded to the Estonian contender Lauri Tamm for his "Nest of the Sun", but Third went to Irina Kudryavtseva (Russia) for her work "Happiness".

The award for Best Sculpture by a Team was won by Andrei Molokov and Sergei Celebrovsky for "Catch Success!", with runners-up in second another Russian duo – Pavel Kaltigin and Yelena Timofejeva ("Princess of the Sea"), and (in third place) – the joint Latvian-Lithuanian team of Inese Valtere and Donatas Mockus ("The Queen").
