Latvian men's basketball team opens EuroBasket 2015 qualification campaign with victory

The Latvian national men's basketball team opened its qualification campaign for the 2015 European Men's Basketball Championships (EuroBasket 2015) by defeating Sweden 62:50 (21:14, 15:16, 13:10, 13:10) yesterday evening.
Kaspars Berzins was the top scorer for Latvia's team with 14 points and nine rebounds, followed by Dairis Bertans and Janis Blums with 13 points each.
The EuroBasket qualification will go until August 27, during which Latvia will play also against Slovakia on August 13 and Romania on August 17.
The winners of the seven qualification groups, as well as the six best runners-up will qualify for EuroBasket 2015.
