An incredible performance by 16 year old Latvian drummer Kristers Hartmanis has become a true internet hit on the popular video channel Youtube.com, informed BC the Latvian Institute.

Kristers has recorded a four minute long video cover for a song „Chandelier” by popular Australian singer and songwriter Sia, which is among this year’s top songs in the world.

Latvian’s cover version of the top hit has rapidly become very popular, resulting in almost 190 000 views on Youtube.com in less than a month.

Kristers is a member of Symphonic band of Talsi and a graduate of Talsi Music School. The talented musician reveals his surprise on wide popularity of his video, yet is very pleased that people appreciate his performance.

The video was shot in Abava valley – an ancient valley formed by the melting glaciers in Latvia and one of the most scenic places in Latvia.
