Estonian Biotech Association has compiled a strategy for the Estonian biotechnology sector for the years 2008-2013, writes ETV24.

The strategy is a document of recommendations for the Parliament and the Government, for introducing them the effective development options of the sector.

The Biotech Association as more than 20 members, including enterprises and research establishments.

Biotechnology is the fastest growing industry in the world, employing more than 5 million workers. In order for Estonia to remain competitive with the other countries that develop biotechnology, Estonia will have to exploit all of its strengths and advantages and to invest into filling in missing links, emphasised the association.
