Martial artist, actor and director Jean Claude Van Damme will give a lesson to 20 young karate students in Lithuania this week. The students will be selected by the Lithuanian Kyokushin Karate Federation, reports LETA/ELTA.

"When we asked him what he would like to do in Lithuania, the actor did not hesitate and asked for a meeting with children who are learning karate. He has repeatedly stressed that in the first place he is a martial artist, not a superstar," said the producer of the conference Forum One.

The famous Hollywood actor is coming to Lithuania to help raise funds for the charity organisation Operation Smile.

Forum One together with Jean-Claude Van Damme, keynote speaker Seth Godin and all other speakers, including C level managers from Microsoft, Facebook and BMW, invite hundreds of thousands of people across the planet to unite and bring back 1,000 smiles for children in poor countries – to pay for their reconstructive surgeries for facial birth defects.

The major European conference aims to raise USD 240,000, enough to cover 1,000 surgeries for children of Operation Smile. Forum One will be held on 23-25October in Vilnius. It will attract more than 4,000 businessmen, managers, leaders and professionals from Central and Eastern Europe.
