Latvian team beats legionnaires at Latvian Basketball League's All Star Game

Latvian team beat the world team at the Aldaris Latvian Basketball League All Star game on Sunday in Liepaja, while Ventspils player Zanis Peiners was voted the most valuable player, for the second time in his career, informs LETA.
The final score was 125:102. Peiners was the highest scorer for Latvian team with 20 points, while Karlis Apsitis had 16 points. On the other hand, Julius Brooks led the legionnaires with 34 points, while Tyler Larsen had 20 assists.
Players from the VEF Riga basketball club did not participate in the All Star Game as they were attending the funeral for the team's late physiotherapist Janis Petronis. Kristaps Janicenoks also did not participate in the game.
