The Estonian parliament will be visited by Santa Claus after the end of Thursday's plenary sitting, writes LETA/BNS. 

Santa Claus traditionally makes humorous observations about party groups in the parliament, and MPs recite poems and sing songs in exchange for their presents.

The Riigikogu decided to hold this year's pre-holiday sitting as a remote-participation sitting. A remote-participation sitting means a sitting of the Riigikogu in which members can participate by electronic means without being physically present at the sitting. The MPs wishing to attend the sitting in person in Toompea also have the option of doing so.

The agenda of the sitting before Santa Claus' visit is made up of the third readings of three bills.
