Estonia: Head of intensive care department of Narva Hospital dies from coronavirus disease
Aleksandr Tsernjonok, head of the anesthesiology and intensive care department of Narva Hospital, has died from the coronavirus disease, the Society of Anesthesiologists of Estonia said on Thursday, writes LETA/BNS.
"The Society of Anesthesiologists of Estonia and the doctors' community of Estonia have experienced a big loss," a representative for the society said. "A highly esteemed doctor and specialist, the head of the anesthesiology and intensive care department of Narva Hospital, Aleksandr Tsernjonok, who lost the fight with the coronavirus disease, has passed."
"Aleksandr Tsernjonok was a kind and extremely hardworking colleague who was always supporting the staff of his department. Tsernjonok performed his duties and treated patients at the intensive care department until falling ill with the coronavirus disease," the Society of Anesthesiologists of Estonia said.
The Society of Anesthesiologists of Estonia and the Estonian Medical Association are offering their condolences to the family of Aleksandr Tsernjonok, his next-of-kin and all colleagues.
