After returning from his annual vacation in Mexico, President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus is to attend state events dedicated to the Restitution of Lithuania's Independence on Wednesday.

On the morning of March 11, the head of state will take part in a solemn sitting of the Seimas, dedicated to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Restitution of Lithuania's Independence.

At noon, the president will observe the flag-raising ceremony at the Independence Square, after which he will attend the Mass celebrated at Vilnius Cathedral.

On the same day, Adamkus will take part in the award ceremony of the laureates of the pupils' competition "Clear Language – Clear Mind" at the White Hall of the Presidential Palace. Adamkus will honor the most literate pupils and their teachers of the Lithuanian language.
