Latvian ice hockey club Riga "Dinamo" goalkeeper Edgars Masalskis has been named the Kontinental Hockey League's (KHL) goalie of the week, reports LETA.

Masalskis was in the "Dinamo" goal the last two games, his average goaltending %age was 94 %. As reported, "Dinamo" won both games.

This is the second time this season when a "Dinamo" player is named the KHL best player of the week. In mid-October, the honor went to forward Aleksandrs Nizivijs.

Tomas Kloucek of Astana "Barys" was named the best defenseman last week, whereas Sergei Mozyakin of Mytishchi "Atlant" the best forward. "Barys" defenseman Roman Savchenko was named the best new player.
