Due to insufficient demand for tickets, instead of the two "Metallica" concerts planned for April in Riga, only one will take place, LETA was informed by Public Relations coordinator for the FBI concert agency Kristaps Karklins.

The group's representatives and tour organizers have announced that the second "Metallica" concert, planned for April 18 this year, is being moved to Tallinn.

In connection with the decline of the economy in Latvia, there was insufficient demand for tickets for the two concerts, so the group decided to combine them into one, said Karklins.

On April 18 "Metallica" will head for Tallinn, Estonia, where they will give a concert in the "Saku Suurhall" arena. When "Metallica" performed in Tallinn in June 2006, it became the biggest live music concert of all time in the Baltic States.

Those who have bought tickets for the second Riga concert are asked to exchange their tickets for tickets for the first concert, which will take place on April 17 in Riga, or for the concert which will take place on April 18 in Tallinn. Standing room tickets for the April 17 concert are no longer available, so those who bought them for the April 18 concert will be able to exchange their tickets for more expensive seated area tickets without additional payment.

Owners of tickets for the April 18 concert will be able to exchange their tickets from today, January 11. In order to make the exchange process easier, ticket holders are advised to complete the form on the internet page "www.ticketpro.lv/jnp/music/" in advance.

Tickets obtained at the "www.ticketpro.lv" internet shop can be exchanged by sending an electronic application together with a completed form to the email address "[email protected]". Paper tickets can be returned by mail or exchanged at the "Ticketpro" office at Office 7, Hospitalu iela 8, Riga. Questions or inquiries can be resolved by calling the "Ticketpro" information line on 263 053 04, or by writing the email address "[email protected]".

Tickets obtained through "Bilesu paradize" can be exchanged at any "Bilesu paradize" trading point. Questions and inquiries can be resolved by calling the "Bilesu paradize" information line on 900 020 00 or by writing the email address [email protected].

Exchange of tickets will continue until March 1 this year.

Karklins stressed that the moving of the second Riga concert to Tallinn will in no way affect the group's April 17 concert in Riga.

As already reported, "Metallica" will play at "Arena Riga" on a 360 degree stage, and spectators will be able to enjoy the group's performance from all angles.

Tickets for the "Metallica" concert in Riga on April 17 can be bought on the Internet at the "www.ticketpro.lv" and "Bilesu paradize" booking services. Standing room tickets have been sold out, but tickets are still available for seated areas at LVL 40 each.
