Estonia celebrates Victory Day and Midsummer Day

Print versionEstonia is to celebrate the Victory Day of the War of Independence on June 23, reported BC the Government Press Office.
The national holiday is in celebration of the momentous victory of Estonian troops over Landeswehr and liberation of the City of Cesis (Võnnu in Estonian) from the German troops on June 23, 1919.
The national holiday on Thursday is in celebration of the Midsummer Day.
Wednesday and Thursday are also the days for hoisting Estonian flags on all residential, commercial and office buildings.
