Schilli elected president of Trade Chamber of German and Baltic states
Werner Schilli, chairman of the board of directors of DnB Nord Bank, has been elected the president of Trade Chamber of German and Baltic states. He has been entrusted with this post for a term of three years, reports Respublika.
Mr. Schilli will change Achim Naumann, who is leaving this post after four years of work.
Kestutis Bagdonavicius, chairman of the board of directors of Ergo Lietuva, has been elected into the board of directors of the Trade Chamber of German and Baltic states too.
"Germany and Lithuania are important partners. We will strive to consolidate further cooperation between the countries via the activities of the chamber," Mr. Schilli claims.
As Eesti Gaas has divided its customers into different groups, an absurd situation has been created where customers are able to pay less when using more gas. Households that use up to 200 cubic metres of gas per year pay 8.1 kroons per cubic metre while those who use more than 200 cubic metres pay 5.2 kroons per cubic metres. Eesti Gaas explained the policy with how much will it cost to service certain price groups. (Eesti Päevaleht)
Vilnius Municipality has a conflict with Vilniaus Energija striving to raise central heating prices for Vilnius residents over 50% as of this summer. Vilnius authorities claim that they will demand for the heating price in Vilnius to remain stable this year. This would mean big losses for Vilniaus Energija. Vilnius Mayor Juozas Imbrasas is categorically against the raising of the heating prices for Vilnius residents. According to the mayor, heating cannot post price growth, because having assessed the energy produced at the thermal (cogenerational) electricity plants, incumbent heating price is realistic and it fully complies with the production expenditures," the municipality report states.
