New U.S. ambassador in Estonia was sworn in

The U.S. Embassy in Tallinn announced that Jeffrey D. Levine was sworn in on July 24, 2012, as U.S. Ambassador to Estonia, LETA/Pubic Broadcasting reports.
The ambassador is expected to arrive in Estonia in September.
Ambassador Levine said in his speech that he looks forward to close cooperation in strengthening the bonds of friendship between Estonia and USA and continuing the great work of Ambassador Polt and the entire U.S. Embassy staff in Tallinn.
The foreign affairs committee of the Senate approved of Levine's candidacy for the post of ambassador to Estonia in March.
