Top-10 Companies in the Baltic States
There were about 300 companies under review in these countries; the poll is made each year during already the last 5 years.
The turnover of the said 300 companies reached 40.5 bn euros in 2006 which was 18.8% higher than a year before. The Estonian companies, numbered 110 are dominating in the list.
The constant leader in the list for the last years is Lithuanian Mažeikiu nafta, which is involved in crude oil transport and refinery with a turnover of 3382.66 mln. Euro.
The second place is occupied by the retail chain Maxima LT with a turnover of 1527.61 mln euro, and concern Achemos grupe on ranked third place with 742.60 mln euro turnover.
Among first ten-top are Estonian Hansapank with 713.30 mln euro turnover, Lithuanian Lukoil Baltija with 483.03 mln euro and Estonian Eesti energija with 481.55 mln euro.
The list of top-ten companies includes too an Estonian transport company Transtrade, which was for the third time in the list of the Baltics Top-300; in the previous year it was on the 7th place.
