The officials discussed Turkey’s accession talks with the EU and bilateral relations of the two states.

“Estonia supports in every way Turkey becoming closer to the European Union, this is a process from which all parties benefit,” said Ansip.

The economic cooperation of the two states was discussed also. In 2009, nearly 40,000 Estonian residents visited Turkey.

Ansip said that cooperation can be considered good in tourism and trade. A direct regular aviation route could help improve the economic relations further, said Ansip.

The Turkish minister delivered a lecture in Tallinn also. The most important thing that Turkey can offer to the EU when it becomes its member is peace and stability, said Egemen Bagis.
