Slovenia organised a conference "Lithuania: New Opportunities for Business, Innovations and Tourism Development in the Baltic Sea Region"

This is the first event of the "three steps" programme, which aims at acquainting representatives of Slovenian business with Lithuanian opportunities and potential partners.
Lithuanian Ambassador to Slovenia Rimutis Klevecka presented an overview of last year Lithuanian economic development to representatives of Slovenian companies, and Director of Lithuanian innovations centre Kastytis Gecas highlighted similarities between the countries and possible complementary partnership in search for innovative ways to make economic processes more effective.
Representatives of Klaipeda territory customs and Klaipeda sea port invited Slovenian businessmen to find a convenient, safe and close way to transport their goods through the Klaipeda port, which is being rapidly modernised. Representatives of Slovenian companies Gorenje and Trimo, successfully operating in Lithuania, also shared their experience at the conference.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and Lithuanian embassy to Slovenia plan to organise two more events of "three steps" programme: organise visits of business representatives from both countries to Lithuania and Slovenia.
