Lithuania's government approved of education strategy for 2013-2022

The Government of Lithuania approved of National Education Strategy 2013 – 2022 drafted by the Ministry of Education and Science and it will submit the strategy for the approval of the Seimas.

The strategy provisions the priorities of Lithuania's education, sets long term goals and establishes the education content change and funding trends, writes LETA/ELTA.

 

According to outgoing Education and Science Minister Gintaras Steponavicius, the Government has drawn up an ambitious strategy of Lithuania's progress in 2030 which includes our national goals.

 

It focuses on creativity which is impossible without modern education, therefore it is very important to have a clear strategy for education setting long-term and clear objectives.


"It is important for all parties to agree on the educational strategies and priorities and to coordinate different opinions because we have to find the best solution together which direction to go to," says Steponavicius.

 

The strategic goal of this document is to make Lithuania's education a sustainable basis for strong and independent person who would create his own, country's and world's future responsibly and jointly.
