Klaipeda Mayor: government should compensate the inconvenience of residents due to constructions of LNG terminal

Klaipeda Mayor Vytautas Grubliauskas said that the government should compensate for the inconvenience that Klaipeda's residents have to face due to works in the seaport and future constructions of a liquefied natural gas terminal.

Grubliauskas said that it would be better to build the terminal somewhere further from areas densely settled by people but if it was done so, the terminal could only be built a few years later than it is planned, informs LETA/ELTA, referring to Vakaru ekspresas.

Grubliauskas said that after the terminal is built, gas prices will become lower for all the Lithuania's residents but only Klaipeda's residents will have to deal with inconvenience and some restrictions that it is to cause.
