Last week, the Baltic associations of insurance brokers decided to form a joint international organisation with the objective to represent the entire Baltic insurance brokerage market on the international level as well as in the relations with insurance companies, writes LETA/Äripäev.ee.

Risto Rossar.

“Baltic insurance brokers joining forces in one organisation will make the insurance market more transparent,” explained Risto Rossar, a member of the management of the Estonian Association of Insurance Brokers. “For customers this will mean more options and better choices in purchasing insurance services,” he added.

Rossar remarked that from under one organisation, brokers will have more leverage for finding the best insurance offers for their customers.

“Joining of the Baltic States’ insurance brokers is an important event – this creates an equal partner for negotiations with the other international organisations, governments and insurance providers,” commented the CEO of the Latvian Association of Insurance Brokers Aigars Krums.

The Baltic organisation was formed by the Estonian Association of Insurance Brokers, the Latvian Association of Insurance Brokers, the Latvian Association of Professional Insurance Brokers, the Lithuanian Association of Insurance Brokers and the Lithuanian Chamber of Insurance Brokers.
