The increase in official reserve assets was influenced by a growth of central government deposits with the Bank of Lithuania and external liabilities of the Bank by 734 million litas (212.5 million euros) and 136.5 million litas (39.518 million euros) respectively. It was also determined by a rise in the currency in circulation by 13.2 million litas (3.82 million euros), Statistics Lithuania said in its statement on Thursday.
The growth of official reserve assets was slowed down by a decrease of 135.2 million litas (39.14 million euros) in the deposits of other MFIs with the Bank of Lithuania and other factors (26.3 million litas/ 7.61 million euros), writes LETA/ELTA.
