Lithuania's deficit of current account balance at 1.7% GDP in 2011

Interim data of the Bank of Lithuania shows that in 2011 the deficit of the current account balance (CAB) accounted for LTL 1.8 billion (EUR 0.52 billion) or 1.7% of the country's GDP.

Meanwhile, in the period from January to December of 2010, the country had a LTL 1.4 billion (EUR 0.4 billion) CAB surplus, writes LETA/ELTA.
Compared to November of 2011, Lithuania's deficit of the CAB in December went up by LTL 238.4 million (EUR 69 million) or by 68 percent and stood at LTL 589 million (EUR 170 million).
