Assets of SEB banking group in Lithuania up 16.2% in nine months of 2008 y-o-y

The banking group of SEB in Lithuania earned a net profit of 320.9 million litas (97.9 million euros) in July-September 2008, an increase of 2.4% year-on-year.

The profit of the SEB bank in Lithuania stood at 342 million litas (104.337 million euros), which made an increase of 5.9% compared to the third quarter of 2007. The profit was calculated including the revenues of 58.6 million litas (17.898 million euros), received from dividends after distributing the profit accumulated by the companies of the SEB group, writes ELTA.

 

Over the nine months of this year, the assets of the banking group grew up to 29.8 billion litas (9.098 billion euros), an increase of 16.2% compared to the same period in 2007.

 

Two new branches of the SEB bank started operating in Lithuania in the third quarter of this year. At the moment, there are 76 branches of the bank in Lithuania.
