Feiferis – Parex banka board chairman, Kargin – deputy chairman of the board

Print versionLatvian Mortgage and Land Bank (Latvijas Hipoteku un zemes banka, Mortgage Bank) head Inesis Feiferis was appointed chairman of Parex bank board yesterday, whereas the previous Parex banka board chairman Valerijs Kargins will continue as deputy chairman of the board, as Feiferis said during the broadcast "Kas notiek Latvija" (What's Happening in Latvia) on the Latvian State Television yesterday evening.

Commenting the bank's performance, Feiferis said that the bank's results are declining at the moment, but much work is being done now to change that. Kargins and Viktors Krasovickis, another Parex banka shareholder, are working hard, "they have contacts and it is not all the same to them what is happening to the bank," said Feiferis.
Feiferis is confident that problems at Parex banka will be resolved. The bank has good relations with the Bank of Latvia, the Finance and Capital Market Commission, and work continues at the bank.
