Kalev boosts sales and turnover in 2014

Estonian confectionery company AS Kalev increased sales by 4% to 9,033 tonnes and turnover by nearly 10% to 42.2 million euros in 2014, reports Äripäev Online, informs LETA.
The company's profit grew to 3.62 million euros, which is by 52% more than a year earlier.
"The ten million euros invested over the past three years in the company's equipment enabled us to increase production volume and sales last year and had a positive impact on the company's profitability and further investment ability," said Chairman of the Board of AS Kalev Kaido Kaare.
Kalev exported 12% of its production, mainly to Finland, Russia, Sweden and the Baltic states.
AS Kalev is Estonia's biggest and oldest confectionery company that last year employed 392 people.
