Attracting EUR 2.2 mln, 36 new jobs to be created in Latvia’s Preili county

In order to promote entrepreneurship and attract investments, the local government of Latvia’s eastern Preili county will implement two projects, attracting EUR 2,176,353 investments and creating 36 new jobs, the local government’s representative Maija Paegle reported LETA.

Melko said that the projects provide for building of warehouse territory
and infrastructure for a manufacturing plant in Preili, and a rural tourism and
water tourism recreation center in Riebini county.
Two companies – Preilu Siers
cheese maker and Daugulis Un Partneri
have confirmed their interest in the project. After the project is approved, a
public auction will be announced and other business interested in the
infrastructure may also apply. The project will be started in June 2018.
85% of the project costs will be financed by the European Regional
Development Fund.
