Viciunai Baltic boosted turnover by optimizing costs in 2010

The sales turnover of Viciunai Baltic in 2010 was 11.8 million EUR and net profit 0.6 mln EUR, a growth of 20% due to optimising costs and raising effectiveness of activities, LETA/Äripäev.ee reports.

The total sales of cooled and frozen fish products seller Viciunai Baltic grew 9.3% to 4,700 tonnes.

 

Sales growth was fastest in frozen fish (+45%), fish fingers (+41%) and herrings category (+8%). 1.43 mln EUR was invested in development of the company.

 

Viciunai Baltic board chairman Urmas Karnö said that 2010 was the year of expansion for the company as it powerfully expanded from the fish products category to frozen and cooled food products sphere more widely.

 

Karnö added that the 2011 aim is 15% sales growth and expansion in new food product categories.

 

Viciunai Baltic OÜ belongs to the Viciunai Group. Viciunai Baltic OÜ was established in April 2000. The owners of the company are: 70% Paljassaare Kalatööstus AS (Estonia), 30% UAB Plunges Kooperatine Prekyba (Lithuania).

 

The main field of activity of Viciunai Baltic OÜ is the sale and distribution of frozen and refrigerated fishery and dough products.
