Novotrade Invest to construct oil waste processing plant in Estonia

Juhan Tere, BC, Tallinn, 17.03.2011.Print version
Estonian petrochemicals manufacturer Novotrade Invest intends to build an oil waste processing plant in Kohtla-Järve, Estonia, the first of that kind in the country.

According to the plan, the plant will recycle waste generated by oil refineries, fuel depots and tankers, turning it into various forms of liquid fuel, informs LETA.

The company's Managing Director Dmitri Khainatsky said that because the facility would have the capacity to process up to 50,000 tons of waste per year, more than Estonia produces, additional raw material would be imported from Poland, Belarus and Finland.

Construction should begin in summer of 2012 and be completed in 2014.
