Russian aviation company UTair launched flights between Tallinn and Moscow, which according to the Tallinn Airport means reaching a new level, National Broadcasting reports.
UTair's logistics director Elena Kiseljova said that the carrier focuses on its own Russian clients who are using the company’s services already and doesn’t plan to start taking clients away from Estonian carriers. Estonian Air also has flights to Moscow.
Tallinn Airport’s board member Erik Sakkov said that in the past decade, almost all flights from Tallinn have departed to the West. “Now Tallinn Airport becomes a normal airport again where one can fly everywhere to,” he said.
Russia’s third-largest aviation company UTair will depart from Tallinn to Moscow’s Vnukovo airport at 05.20 daily and will depart from Vnukovo to Tallinn at 21.20 local time.
UTair will enable to fly to 53 destinations in Russia from Vnukovo.
