First McDonald’s restaurant to open in Latvian Daugavpils

Daugavpils Mayor Zanna Kulakova (Latvian First Party/Latvia's Way) was informed of this decision yesterday from McDonald’s representatives.
Tomasz Nawrocki, the company's manager in the Baltic States, and its marketing manager Virginija Girulska informed Kulakova about the activities of all eight McDonald’s restaurants in the region and emphasized that this would be the first two-story restaurant in Latvia.
The restaurant will be located on 18th November Street, next to the Consulate General of Belarus. The restaurant will be on the ground floor, and a play arena and premises for children's party rooms will be on the first floor.
McDonald’s representatives based their choice for the site of the fast food chain with the fact that Daugavpils is the second largest city in Latvia, and their market research shows that this place is suitable for developing a business.
The restaurant will initially employ 35 people and will be open on November 15.
