The magazine notes that airBaltic, with about 900 flights a week, is just a little behind Germany's GermanWings, Nozare.lv learned from airBaltic. Wirtschaftswoche also writes that an impressive network of carriers has developed in Europe over the past few decades since low-cost flights became available, writes LETA.
airBaltic offers direct flights from Riga to over 60 destinations. The main airBaltic shareholders are the state of Latvia (52.6% stake) and Baltijas Aviacijas sistemas (47.2%).
