69% of all companies and businessmen who will mark their 20th anniversary of being in business this year are farms or fisheries, writes LETA.

According to these companies' annual 2010 reports, a company's average turnover in 2010 was LVL 0.93 million and average profit LVL 19,373, said Jansone.

In terms of turnover, the largest companies of those that will celebrate their twentieth anniversary in February are the medication wholesale company Magnum Medical (LVL 33.26 million), Elvim (LVL 14.78 million), automobile dealership Wess (LVL 25.33 million, meat producer Rigas miesnieks (LVL 24.2 million), construction company Arcers (LVL 23.01 million).

In terms of profit, Arcers was first in 2010 with a profit of LVL 2.99 million, followed by metalworking company Valpro (LVL 1.22 million), technical analyses company SGS Latvija LTD (LVL 0.9 million), wood felling company Niedraji MR (LVL 0.63 million) and hydrotechnical facility construction company BGS (LVL 0.44 million).

Staff-wise, fish cannery Brivais vilnis is ranked first with a staff of 365, followed by Wess with 260 employees.
