Elcoteq to expand production range and workforce in Tallinn

Elcoteq Tallinn, the electronic components manufacturer, plans to expand its production range to include medical equipment, the Estonian news broadcasting corporation ERR reports referring to Aripaev.

Eolane chief executive Marc Pasquier said that the change would require more staff. The company's will soon be changed to Eolane Tallinn AS, writes LETA.

 

As reported, French industrial electronics company éolane acquired all shares of AS Elcoteq Tallinn, which belonged to the Elcoteq SE concern that has gone bankrupt in late February.

 

Marc Pasquier commented the deal that it was a strategic decision to expand activities into Northern Europe and focus on new markets and clients who are located in Nordic states.

 

éolane is a leading French subcontractor that has a turnover of 300 million euros and 2,400 employees.

 

Elcoteq Tallinn operates since 1993, as part of the global Elcoteq SE group that declared bankruptcy in October 2011. Elcoteq Tallinn has 235 employees.
