Restored tourist tram to cruise Riga's streets

From today to September 30, every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holiday days, a restored tourist tram originally built in 1901 will cruise Riga's streets, LETA was informed by municipal public transportation company Rigas satiksme spokesman Viktors Zakis.

The tram's route will be from Stacijas Street (Radio Street) to the Riga suburb of Mezaparks.

 

Tickets can be purchased from the tram's conductor, and cost LVL 1 for adults, and LVL 0.50 for students with a valid student ID. Children under the age of seven can travel for free with their parents.

 

The vintage tram has a total of 18 seats and standing room for ten more persons.
