With ATU Duty Free Riga Airport will create additional privileges for passengers

At the award ceremony of privileged 11111th BalticMiles customer at ATU Duty Free shops in Riga International Airport, Member of the RIX Board Ilona Līce announced "Riga International Airport is pleased that our major business partner ATU Duty Free is offering new benefits for the airport passengers, thereby significantly improving the range of services and facilitating customer activity. As our successful collaboration continues, we believe that in the near future together we will create additional privileges for Riga Airport passengers."

Ms. Kristine Liepina made Cristmas shopping for family at ATU Duty Free store at 10:46am and was registered as 11.111 Baltic Miles customer winning 11.111 bonus points which can be redeemed for a roundtrip airBaltic flight in the Scandinavian, Baltic, Central or Eastern European region, before her direct flight to Oslo, informs Zanda Krastiņa.

 

A representational big gift card with assigned bonus points was given to Ms.Liepina by ATU Duty Free’s Managiņg Director Ersan Arcan and he stated that "We are proud to award 11111 BalticMiles to our 11111th customer. This event is a nice example of the fruitful partnership between ATU Duty Free and BalticMiles. Both partners operate under the same roof, Riga International Airport sharing the same values such as a customer centric approach, excellence in service and continuous commercial development orientation. Our customers will be able to benefit from the advantages of travel retail while shopping the world's top brands. This is just the beginning and in our partnership we are looking forward to achieving more value added services for our customers”.

As announced last week a privileged duty free customer is going to win 11.111 BalticMiles bonus points from ATU Duty Free before Christmas. From the 1st of November 2012 on, all the purchases made at ATU Duty Free using the Baltic Region’s most popular loyalty program BalticMiles allows its customers to win 1 Point for 1 Euro.

 

Riga International Airport is the most important air traffic hub of the Baltic region, gateway and transit point for a total of 4 to 5 million passengers yearly. ATU Duty Free provides duty free services at Riga International Airport in 14 stores on 1,430 square meter area. The Chairman of the Riga International Airport Aldis Mūrnieks commented on the program partnership: “Thanks to successful business relationship between Riga Airport and ATU Duty Free, the airport’s commercial areas have reached the global airport standard. Passengers can choose from a rich variety of goods and receive excellent service.”

 

Since January 2012, ATU Duty Free stores have become the meeting point of over 4,4 million passengers who are enjoying more than 430 worldwide brands from liquor, tobacco, beauty products, local brands to fashion and accessories. Customers can find 12,000 reference products at ATU Duty Free’s Riga stores with advantageous prices, up to 16% in perfume and cosmetics, 31% in liquor and tobacco items, compared to high street.
