Estonian IT ZeroTurnaround buys Danish software firm

Estonian IT-company ZeroTurnaround announced on Tuesday of buying the Danish software firm Javeleon and its patents, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

ZeroTurnaround is the creator of productivity technology that simplifies the work of software developers and their products are used in around 80 states. Javeleon was created last year to develop a technology that focuses on dynamic upgrading of Java software that is based on a research done in Danish university Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Institute into a product.

 

Javeleon's founders, Danish scientists Allan Gregersen and Michael Rasmussen will join ZeroTurnaround and move to Estonia.

 

ZeroTurnaround started in 2007. It has 90 employees and development centres in Tallinn and Tartu, a global sales office in Boston and branch office in Prague. Its circle of owners includes mainly Bain Capital Ventures and the company's management. Its best known clients are eBay, Disney, HP, IBM, Lufthansa, Oracle and U.S. Federal Reserve.
