"Panorama" tops winners of TV awards in Latvia

Print versionThe "Rigas Vilni" TV guide announced the winners of its annual awards for excellence in television broadcasting in Latvia, nominated and selected by a team of experts, a jury of 100 media professionals and viewers, informs LETA.

LTV1's long-running "Panorama" (nightly at 8:30 p.m.) took the honors as Best Newscast, with Arnis Krauze as Best Anchorman.
LNT's Maris Grigalis was named Best Weatherman, and LTV7/Viasat Sport Baltic's Anatolijs Kreipans – Best Sports Commentator, with TV6's "Overtime TV" as Best Sports Show.
In arts and entertainment, LTV1's "100 g kulturas" took the award as the Best Cultural Program, "UgunsGreks" (FireSin) on LNT won for Best Dramatic Series, but TV3's "Saimnieks mekle sievu" (Landlord Seeks Wife) is the Best Reality Show.
