Swedish ROL Group to build metal furniture factory in Lithuania

ROL/STATGA, one of the Swedish capital ROL Group companies, will build metal furniture and commercial equipment part factory in Siauliai. Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas participated in the ceremony of the symbolic capsule burial at the construction site, informs LETA/ELTA.

At this point investments in ROL/STATGA factory construction total to LTL 22 million (EUR 6.4 million). Of which, LTL 17 million (EUR 4.9 million) are provided by ROL Group, while LTL 5 million (EUR 1.5 million) are allocated from the European Union's measure Invest LT+, which is overseen by the Ministry of Economy. The factory which will produce furniture from metal and parts for commercial equipment will create 40 jobs.

 

According to the Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas, construction of a modern factory in Siauliai, in part funded by the EU funds, is yet another investment into development of the region. The LTL 5 million allocated by the ministry is significant support not only for the company but also for the region and the country's competitiveness.
